We are disconnected from the outside world and everyone around us, yet connected by the internet. This is a big deal for our generation because we are losing the ability to socialize. A lot of people turn to the internet because they can become the person they want to be. In real life they are probably not popular or don't have friends, but online they are very popular and have over 2,000 friends. How does that even happen? Sometimes people say little white lies or even big lies just to impress who they are talking to. I say we shouldn't have to lie to each other and we should just be ourselves. Being myself and showing people the real me has gotten me pretty far in life. So, my advice to you is don't pretend to be someone your not to get someone to like you because then they won't like "you" they will like the "you" that you claim to be.

ReplyDeleteIt took me a long time to learn to just be myself. I am glad that you understand that so well already. It was a hard lesson to learn that some people just aren't going to like you. So staying true and honest to yourself is the perfect gift to yourself.
